Art by Georgia Papadakis

Georgia Papadakis was born and lived her early childhood in Crete, Greece. She was uprooted and brought to Ohio at the delicate age of seven, but the bright atmosphere and blue waters of her homeland have ever continued to affect her mind, her longings, and her work.

Georgia lives in Dayton, OH, with the boy who once rescued her from the ignominy of a drunken nap on a friend's lawn. She holds a BFA in Studio Arts from Wright State University, and her art has won several awards, including a Yeck College Fellowship from the Dayton Art Institute.
